The network announced that the Wednesday results show will expand to one hour starting March 12.
The change means that “The Return of Jezebel James,” a new comedy from “Gilmore Girls” creator Amy Sherman-Palladino, won’t get a primo preview after “Idol” on March 12. Instead, that comedy will start with back-to-back episodes at 8 p.m.

“Idol Gives Back,” the hugely successful fund-raiser, will be staged from 8 to 10 p.m. Wednesday, April 9. No contender will be ejected that evening. Instead, that news will be revealed in an episode to air at 9 p.m.
Thursday, April 10. Yes, “Idol – fox american idol results” will air three nights that week.
